Life has been so busy here, I haven't had a lot of time to paint. But... from today I am inspired and back into it!
Along with a team of magnificent people, I have been involved in setting up U3A Cambridge (University of the Third Age). From a standing start on May 24th this year, we now have around 180 members, we have had our first lecture (with others booked until this time next year), and we have well over 20 special interest groups up and running. Somehow! I ended up convening a film appreciation group and we are off to the International Film Festival in Hamilton next week.
On top of that, I have been doing my volunteer work for the Museum for the monthly 'Back Chat' page, and organising the 'A Passion for Art' exhibition. This is a two day exhibition to be held on 19th and 20th November, alongside the Rotary Cambridge Garden Festival.
There are 13 artists exhibiting and 12 different locations and entry is free. When you purchase your ticket for the Rotary Cambridge Garden Festival (tickets go on sale at www.cgf.nz at 9am on Friday 19th August 2022), you will have two inserts telling you about the exhibition. Good idea to come and visit Cambridge for the weekend, visit the artists on the Saturday and the Garden Festival on the Sunday. All that entertainment for only $35 per person for early bird tickets, so get in and buy the tickets before the 1st October (when normal ticket prices kick in).
I have added four new photos to my shop - all these paintings are for sale, click here to find out more.
Well, back to my painting, enjoying painting on different materials right now!
