Spring is here (even if only for a day every now and then!) The bulbs are coming up, cherry trees are in blossom and my garden is starting to look lovely. Looking forward to the roses coming out - but I will miss the smell of the lovely daphne.
Speaking of flowers and gardens, I am looking forward to the Rotary Cambridge Garden Festival on November 10th this year because... we are running another Passion for Art Trail for the whole weekend.
Saturday November 9th and Sunday November 10th there will be a whole lot of art studios open in Cambridge (including mine) for you to see interesting art and meet the creators.
You can find out more by looking at https://www.cgf.nz/passion-for-art/.
It has been a long time since I have painted flowers (apart from the poppies and flowers in landscapes), but I am excited about painting some for the Passion for Art.
Let me know your thoughts on flowers, whether it is something that you would be interested in, whether there are particular flowers that you think would look great, and they you might be interested in owing (either small or big).
I have put some old paintings that I have done of flowers up on this blog post so that you can get an idea (but remember, these are old!). Apologies for the reflections, and the sunflowers have been much loved and are faded (I painted this in 1994).
Look forward to seeing you on November 9th or 10th and hearing from you about what flower paintings you might want to own!!
